About SCCP: 

SCCP (Student College of Clinical Pharmacy) is the student chapter of ACCP (American College of Clinical Pharmacy). Its purpose is to educate and promote the career of clinical pharmacy through research, mentorship, and patient care. The student chapter annually holds the Clinical Pharmacy Challenge and Clinical Research Challenge, where the winning teams represent the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy at the ACCP nationals.

Mission:

The SCCP shall adopt the purposes of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).
In addition, SCCP shall have the following mission:

To orient students to the practice of clinical pharmacy by:
1. Providing information to students about careers and opportunities within the field of clinical pharmacy.
2. Promoting dedication to excellence in patient care, research, and education.
3. Encouraging skill development necessary to function within an interdisciplinary team.
4. Advocating the role of clinical pharmacists within healthcare.
5. Encouraging participation in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy at the national level.
