PPA Mid-Year Conference 2022

January 26th – 30th

Harriburg Hilton

Harrisburg, PA

Activities held at Mid-Year:

OTC Student Competition: The signature event of the Mid-Year Conference for the last several years has been the student OTC Competition sponsored by the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations (NASPA), Non-prescription Medicine Academy (NMA), and Proctor and Gamble. Played very similar to Jeopardy, teams from each school face off and answer questions from a game board with “interesting” self-care categories.

Student Poster Presentations: Each year the Foundation encourages students to present a poster during the Mid-Year Conference. This activity allows pharmacists to earn CE credit and take the time to see the excellent work being done by future pharmacists.

Foundation Sunnyside Up Breakfast: In 2015, the Foundation started hosting a breakfast on Sunday which includes presentations on the Foundation and reports from the grants that were awarded the previous year. A portion of the proceeds for the breakfast goes to the Foundation.

Silent Auction and Raffle: The Foundation hosts a Silent Auction and Raffle as a fundraiser each year during the Mid-Year Conference. Silent Auction items are posted on the website in advance and are available for online bidding. On-site bidding continues during the conference until the end of the Beer and Banter Reception on Saturday evening. All proceeds benefit the Foundation. Raffle tickets are also available on-site where attendees can drop their tickets in the bags of numerous items. The Dessert Reception on Saturday evening features the drawing for the raffle items.
