We at the Pharmacy Innovation Lab are excited to learn about the future of
virtual reality (VR) and how it can be a part of our present in pharmacy
(…and gaming). On Thursday March 23rd from 3-5pm, we will be taking a
mini-field trip down to the School of Information Science (135 N Bellefield
Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15260) where our partner, the Learning Technology Lab,
has a Oculus Rift virtual reality system set-up. There we will learn about
the system, see if we can play some games, and talk about applications to
pharmacy care/education (which presumably includes zombies). Our guides
through the fun/application of VR will be our very own Drs. Lorin Grieve
and Ravi Patel.
To join our trip to learn about VR, play with the system, and talk, on *March
23rd from 3-5pm*, please meet Drs. Grieve and Patel in the *Salk Commons at
3:00pm*, from there we will walk down to the iSchool/Learning Technology
RSVP via reply to this email is request, though walk-ons will be accepted.
If you’d like to join our mailing list, please let me know as well via
reply to this email. Don’t hesitate to reach out with whatever
questions/comments/excitement you may have. Thank you.
