National Mission

The mission of the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) is to be the collective voice of student pharmacists, to provide opportunities for professional growth, and to envision and actively promote the future of pharmacy.

Chapter Mission

APhA-ASP is the keystone organization, which provides opportunities to advance and coordinate professional, academic, and social excellence among pharmacy students.

Organization Mission

Today’s students, tomorrow’s leaders.

Membership Benefits

The ASP Chapter at the University of Pittsburgh encourages and facilitates the coordination and collaboration of different student groups and acts as the central voice for our pharmacy students. Patient care projects, professional competitions, guest speakers, social events, and conferences allow students to participate in exciting and innovative professional and career development programs. Through ASP, students also have the opportunity to serve on chapter, state, and national boards and committees, and make lasting friendships as well as establish valuable connections with renowned leaders that are shaping the field of pharmacy. ASP members can also apply for scholarships and awards, receive pharmacy publications from both APhA and ASP, and receive discounted rates on textbooks and professional conferences.
